39 And Doing Fine…

Coach Of The YearAs has become my tradition (at least since my 35th birthday) I wanted to take a few minutes to sit down with my computer and put some thoughts together. If you’re interested at all, you can look back at the last couple of years worth of babbling:

So, I’m another year older and I suppose another year wiser. I’m certainly another year fatter but I’m also happier. I say it every year but I’m the luckiest guy on the face of the earth. I’ve got the greatest group of friends a guy could ever ask for and a family that is second to none.

It’s been a crazy busy year and this summer I feel like I’ve been going at light speed. I look at my calendar literally one day at a time because anything more and I get overwhelmed. For the first time this year I was head coach for G’s baseball team and was honored to be named Coach Of The Year for the Twinsburg Baseball League. I’ll be C’s head coach next year.

The Boys… what can I say. All three of them are a constant source of entertainment in their own right and when you put them together forget about it. They went ALL IN for the Cavs run this past season as you can see from this awesome photo.

All In CLE

They are an absolute joy and no matter how many jobs I do, no matter how many hours I work, my #1 job will always be being their Dad. I couldn’t think of a more rewarding job out there.

Update: I’m finishing this post a couple of days after I started it after we got back from vacation

The Wife. My Baby Doll… I’ve said it every time I’ve put one of these posts together and I’ll continue to say it. I feel bad to ever stand next to her as I don’t feel worthy. I married so far above my pay grade it’s not even funny.  Talk about “out punting your coverage.”  17 years of marriage later this month, 22 years together in October and I’m still in awe that she chose me.  I feel very strongly that I was put on this Earth one day before her because I knew she was coming.  She’s the best mom, wife and friend I could possibly imagine.  Love you babe.

H & H

When I was growing up I knew I wanted to have a family. I wanted to be a Dad and a husband. I wanted to be a “business man” and I wanted to not be one of those guys who was super stuffy and boring. I can honestly say that in the last 39 years I’ve succeeded in doing those things. I’m the luckiest guy on the planet. I feel so unworthy of all the blessings I’ve received and continue to receive on a daily basis. Thanks again for the birthday well wishes. Onward to the big 4-0!
