Family Clam Bake 2012

We recently had our yearly family clam bake which has been a tradition for the last 25-30 years or so.  No one can quite remember exactly when the tradition started but we’ve been doing it every year for a LONG time and it has evolved into something quite special.  It’s essentially the one time per year that I get to see that side of my family and I can honestly say that I look forward to it all year long.  G & C are really starting to get into it to as they absolutely love seeing their “cousins”.  (They’re not REALLY their cousins, but once you get past 1st cousin things get a little hazy for me.)

This tradition started all those years ago at my grandmother’s farm up near Scranton, Pennsylvania (Yes… that Scranton… like from The Office).  A few years ago, she sold the farm so we moved the festivities to my cousin’s house up in the Poconos.  At this point I’m going to let the pictures speak for themselves.  Suffice to say we had an absolute blast and we’ve already got a tentative date for next year’s event: August 10th!
