It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a Beer Shots post and today being Throwback Thursday seemed like a fine time to get back to it. This was taken way back in February of this year when my Winking Lizard World Tour was in its infancy (I’m at 95 as of this writing). I’m a huge fan of the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and when the Winking Lizard featured the Stout on their monthly … Continue reading
I first completed the Winking Lizard World Tour of Beers in 2012. I completed it again last year. I honestly had no intention of partaking this year. I figured I’d take 2015 off and give it another shot (no pun intended) in 2016. Alas, I found myself at the Lizard the other night and against my better judgement… this happened. And so it begins… Beer #1 was one of my favorites, Ommegang Three Philosophers. I … Continue reading
I posted this one to Instagram and figured it’d be a good addition to Beer Shots as well. Can’t wait to attend the World Tour Finisher’s Party! I really do enjoy doing the World Tour, but I can’t say its something that’s great for the waistline or the wallet. Perhaps I’ll take another year off and tackle it again in 2016?
If you’ve never been to the Winking Lizard (@winkinglizard on Twitter) you’re missing out. They’ve got some of the best wings in Cleveland, have several locations to choose from and have a TON of beers for your tasting pleasure. This year, I’m participating in the 2012 World Tour of Beers. This Petrus was #32 on the year.

This year’s trip happened to coincide with Opening Day for the Indians so we headed down to the stadium to take in a game with my brother Marko and buddy Al. Pip had never been to the stadium so it was super cool to have a “first timer” there though I can’t say the … Continue reading
Every now and then I clean out my wallet. I’m not a big “receipt-keeper” as I leave that to the wife. It’s been a while since I’ve gone through and gotten rid of my receipts (this batch goes back to September). With the exception of some banking receipts here’s the list of “establishments” that I had receipts for: Brothers Bar & Grill General Mitchell Airport E-bar Milwaukee Scooters Pub Winking Lizard Tavern Gamekeeper’s Tavern The … Continue reading
A jackhammer is a wonderful tool when you need to break up concrete. It allows you to do a job that otherwise would be incredibly tedious or nearly impossible. They also are incredibly LOUD. For the last 4 (and counting) days now I’ve had the pleasure of listening to a jackhammer from when I got to work until the time I left in the evening. There’s a restaurant going in downstairs and apparently they need … Continue reading
