I’ve been doing these “Best Of” since back in 2010. I really upped my blogging output this past year but that doesn’t mean I’m happy. There’s still a lot I want to say… just look at my drafts folder! I’m sort of an analytics geek so I really look forward to writing these recap posts. It’s always interesting (to me at least) to see what posts make the list and to see if there are posts that prevail through the years.
The Top 10 Posts of 2015
(Based On Number Of Views)
#10 – Unfollow The Buzzards
A wrestling related post I wrote in September talking about the WWE faction The Wyatt Family. They started out super strong and had just sort of fizzled.
#9 – 2014 / 2015 Snow Removal Scam – Got Snow?
I don’t really “root” for posts to show up on this top ten list, but I’m happy to see this one here. I’ve been a personal crusade against this scammer for year. He keeps changing his name… I keep fighting. Here’s this year’s version of the scam: Got Snow? – 2015 Snow Removal Scam
#8 – Dolph Ziggler – Kent State University Alumni Profile
Another wrestling related post, this time a profile of Dolph Ziggler (real name Nic Nemeth) who went to Kent State University.
#7 – The Missing Elf on the Shelf
Down one spot from #6 last year, this continues to get a ton of traffic especially in November and December when I’m guessing other parents are running into the same situation.
#6 – The WrestleMania 30 Drinking Game
Down from #2 last year, this version of our yearly Beeramid drinking game continues to be viewed. I believe it’s the first time that a previous year’s list has made the top ten.
#5 – My Commercial Series Char-Broil Grill
Down from #3 last year. My grill died. It was rusted out and had flames shooting out the front. This post chronicled some of the issues that I was dealing with before biting the bullet and getting a new Weber grill. No surprise that this one is still on the list as more and more of these grills run into aging issues.
#4 – Macho Man To The WWE Hall of Fame Finally?
Reports from TMZ leaked that Randy “Macho Man” Savage was finally to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. This long overdue honor became reality at last year’s WrestleMania weekend.
#3 – Why America Isn’t The Greatest Country In The World
Up from #7 last year. In the opening scene from HBO’s The Newsroom, Jeff Daniels delivers a monologue that every American should hear. Interesting that this particular topic is moving up. Draw your own conclusions.
#2 – Death In a Box – McDonald’s Dinner Box
Up from #5 last year. McDonald’s is know for fast food. This post takes a look at the “nutritional value of their latest monstrosity… The Dinner Box
#1 – The WrestleMania 31 Drinking Game
It seems that folks love hearing about The Beeramid and the rules we use. If you’re looking to get a jump on your WrestleMania 32 prep for this year check back soon for our WrestleMania 32 Drinking Game!
I knocked out 80 posts this year which is WAY up from last year’s 46 and well over my my unofficial goal of once per week. This marks the most I’ve ever blogged in a given year surpassing my previous high mark of 75 posts in 2011. As I said… I’ve got lots to say and a lot on my mind so I’m really looking forward to a busy 2016. Happy New Year!
