As I’ve done for the past several years once again this November I’m participating in No-Shave November. The goal of the event is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you usually spend on shaving and grooming for a month to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.
A similar activity, Movember, is an annual event involving the growing of mustaches during the month to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer and other male cancers, and associated charities. I’m not a mustache guy (I’d look even more like Paul Blart) so I go the no-shave route instead.
I do allow myself one small “cheat” when it comes to shaving my neck. If I didn’t take care of the neck beard I’d be this guy… and no one wants that.
I’m typically not a big selfie guy but during No Shave November I make an exception.

Cancer sucks… if there’s anything I can do to combat it I’m all in.
