Elimination Chamber 2025 took place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was the 15th Elimination Chamber event and is the last PPV prior to WrestleMania 41. This was the first WWE event to be held at Rogers Centre since WrestleMania X8 in 2002 when it was still known as the SkyDome. This was also the first PPV to not feature a championship defense since Survivor Series in 2021. It aired on Peacock in the United States and Netflix in most international markets. NOTE: I can’t wait till everything is on Netflix. It’s a huge pain the ass to have to watch WWE programming on multiple networks.

Elimination Chamber (2025) – Results
For the second PPV in a row we’ve got only four matches on the card, but that’s not to say we didn’t get a ton of excitement here. My brother had plans on Saturday so I watched at home LIVE which is pretty rare for me. To be fair, I watched the last to matches later in the evening so… I’m consistent 😉 The Road to WrestleMania 41 is in full swing. Let’s get into it.
Bianca Belair Won The Women’s Elimination Chamber
Bianca Belair defeated Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Liv Morgan, Naomi, and Roxanne Perez. This win gives her a Women’s World Championship match at WrestleMania 41. As of this writing we’re not sure if that will be between current champion Rhea Ripley or Iyo Sky, who will be challenging Ripley for the title on the March 3 episode of Raw.
Going into this I had a feeling I was going to be disappointed in the outcome cause I didn’t see my two favorites (Alexa or Liv) getting the win. I was sadly correct in my prediction but I found myself really enjoying this match. I don’t particularly care for Bianca’s character but that’s not to take anything away from her. She’s tippy top talent for sure and I can totally understand giving her a Mania spot… I just don’t particularly care for her. The big thing online coming out of this match was the return of Jade Cargill to turn on Naomi. I’ll get this right out of the way… I can’t stand Jade Cargill. I think she’s too green, average in the ring at best, terrible on the mic and has been pushed down our throats worse than John Cena or Roman Reigns ever were. I believe the text I sent to the boys was ‘Fuck Jade Cargill she’s terrible’. That said, I like surprise returns and this was well played.
I was impressed with Roxanne Perez here far more than I thought I would be. I was bummed at how Alexa went out and loved the spot where Liv used Bianca’s hair to pull her back after slamming her into the Chamber. Very innovative. Also, mad props to Liv for getting the SHIT beat out of her.
Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus Defeated Nia Jax and Candice LeRae
By far the worst match on the card but not close to as bad as it could have been. Trish Stratus is 49(!) years old in front of her home town. I was happy to see that she actually got involved in the match and damn can she still go. Sadly that ‘she can go’ vibe went when she hit a super sloppy bulldog off the top on Jax. Chalk it up to a MASSIVE weight difference but it was a terrible spot. Candice LeRae was out of her element here as she just didn’t fit with the star power. I have a feeling this is going to be Tiffany Stratton’s signature big win of her title reign before she drops the title to Charlotte at Mania. That will suck and I hope I’m wrong cause Tiffany is a superstar in the making. This was decent for what it was… a popcorn match.
Kevin Owens Defeated Sami Zayn – Unsanctioned Match
These guys have been friends, enemies, best friends, best enemies and everything in between for the past 20 years. Their rivalry goes back FAR past their entry into the WWE. Because of this fact I went into this match wondering why we should care. This really felt like a rehashed story that we’ve seen a zillion times before. And while we may have seen this match before this one will stand out as one of the best.
Holy shit. While I’m not a big fan of ‘unsanctioned’ matches I love the fact that the ‘HHH Era’ is bringing back some of these time honored traditional stipulation matches. Nice touch here with the lights being turned down in the area to give us a different visual for the match. Lots of weapons here evoking ECW chants. Everything was stiff and on several occasions I winced.
I’ve often thought about how real life friends could have a match like this. I guess it’s just something I’ll never understand cause I’ve never been in the business. Even though Sami looks like a mix between a cab driver and WWF ‘legend’ Skinner, I’d like to see him come out on top one of these days. Seems to me he’s always on the losing end of these ass whoopings.
Match ended with KO getting the win and continuing the carnage to be stopped by a returning Randy Orton. It’s looking like KO and Randy Orton at Mania and if I was a betting man I’d put my chips on Sami interfering in that match to help Randy get the win.
John Cena Won The Men’s Elimination Chamber
John Cena defeated CM Punk, Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and Seth Rollins. This win gives him a match for an Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 41 against Cody Rhodes. He then did the unthinkable and turned heel which was something I didn’t think we’d ever see, especially during his last run. In retrospect I’m glad I was wrong and I’m super excited… but more on that later.
Heading in I could legitimately see scenarios where five of the six guys would win this. There wasn’t a chance in hell Logan Paul would ever win this and I’m glad he didn’t. While he’s an incredible athlete and arguably one of the greatest ‘celebrity’ wrestlers of all time… fuck that guy.
Was surprised to see Drew eliminated first here but I have a feeling they’re working through a mutli-year build here with Drew where he’s gonna be a cry baby after getting ‘screwed’ for years before coming out on top as a MASSIVE fan favorite. Time will tell.
If there was anyone that felt out of place here it was Damian Priest so I wasn’t surprised to see him eliminated with not a ton of fanfare.
The Seth vs. Punk dynamic here is REALLY fun to watch. I’d be shocked if we didn’t get a continuation of that program at WrestleMania 41 which I’m totally there for. I’m just disappointed that it’ll mean Punk doesn’t get his Mania main event. I spose the only way we COULD get that is if maybe they insert Roman into that mix and give us a three way dance. I could see THAT main evening Saturday night for sure.
I DO like that Punk didn’t go down ‘clean’ after a stomp from an eliminated Rollins led to him passing out to Cena’s submission. Can’t WAIT for Punk’s promo on RAW. It should be amazing.
Which leads us to the Cena heel turn. As I said, I didn’t think we’d ever see it but I have to give MASSIVE props to HHH and Rock for putting on a master class of story telling here. With the way they did this turn it made those seemingly random Rock appearances and promos make all the sense in the world. I’m REALLY hoping this leads to a 17th championship for Cena (as a heel no less) but I’d be SHOCKED if Cena ends his career as a bad guy. That seems to point to him turning on The Final Boss and ending his career as a redeemed fallen hero. I don’t know how we get there, but I cant wait to watch it play out.
Elimination Chamber (2025) – Final Thoughts
Coming out of this event I had some pretty significant recency bias going on. And while I’ve cooled quite a bit from that now that I’ve watched it a couple of times I can still say this was an outstanding PPV. All anyone will remember is the John Cena heel turn which is a shame. This is a show where every match on the card (yes, even the lady’s tag match) is well worth your time to watch.
One more thing I thought of while reading this. While this was an great show, just think about how much talent WASN’T on the card! Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker (the double K is stupid), Charlotte, Cody Rhodes, the Wyatts, Judgement Day, Rhea Ripley, Gunther, Jey Uso, The Bloodline, etc. Thankfully, we’ve got a few extra weeks to build toward Mania with the show being in mid April this year. I can’t wait!
Oh… a word about Travis Scott. I’m gonna show my age here for a moment so please forgive me. I don’t know who Travis Scott is. From what I gather he’s a massive hip hop star with a bunch of Grammy’s and more TikTok followers than you can shake a stick at. I completely understand WWE wanting to use folks like this in their programming to bring new eyeballs to the product and introduce a fresh (younger) audience. That said, I couldn’t disagree more with having him play a part of arguably the biggest heel turn in the history of the business. This would be like Too Short, Ice-T or 2Pac joining Hulk Hogan in the ring for his heel turn at Bash at the Beach ’96. Massive talents in their own right, but we’d be looking back at photos from that night going ‘who’s that guy’?
Regardless… We are OFFICIALLY on the Road To WrestleMania! Let’s GO!
