And Then There Were Two

Super Bowl XLVSuper Bowl XLV is set for February 6th, 2011.  The Green Bay Packers will be going for their 4th title in franchise history when they play my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers who will be looking nab their record 7th trophy.  I have to say that I’m really looking forward to this game.  Not just because my favorite team is in there, but also because I think it’s gonna be a doozy.

Both teams have incredible defenses and both teams have outstanding quarterbacks that can beat you in more ways than one.  Aaron Rogers is certainly a “prettier” passer, but Big Ben seems to get the job done when the chips are down (not to mention that he’s already got 2 Super Bowl rings).

Living in Cleveland and being a Steeler fan is a tough thing.  I swear it’s almost like there are three parts of the season for Browns fans:

  1. Pre-season
  2. Regular season
  3. Root against the Steelers season

Obviously #3 above is the post-season but unfortunately the Browns never seem to even sniff it so it becomes “Let’s bitch about how much we hate the Steelers.”  Oh well… I guess I’d rather have a team to root FOR instead of just having someone to root against.
