It’s that time of year folks… today is November 1st and before you know it Thanksgiving will be here and then we’ll blink and it’ll be Christmas! I don’t know about you but in this crazy COVID world I’m REALLY looking forward to the holidays this year. Yes, they’ll be different and yes we’ll need to continue to be careful, wear our masks and social distance, but I’m really craving some ‘normalcy’.
What’s normal look like for our family these days? Well let’s see. We’ve got three boys who are redefining ‘eating us out of house and home’. Tuesday nights have become wings and pizza night since quarantine started. Our local BW3 has buy one get one wings on Tuesdays so we’ll get 40 wings which will give us leftovers for most of the week. In addition we’ve got a couple of pizza joints around (Romeo’s and Gioninno’s) that offer buy one get one pizza on Tuesdays. Pizza and wings for the win!
Who Else Loves Costco?
We’ll typically hit Costco on Saturday or Sunday for a big shopping trip. I’m a HUGE fan of their ribeyes! Typically I’ll grill then on Sunday night and if I fix 3 or 4 I’ll have leftovers for the week (Wife doesn’t eat meat… her loss… so I’ll get some fish for her)
Naturally, we’ become HUGE fans of Costco over the past couple of years and it looks like they’re going to have some AWESOME Black Friday specials this year. You can use Slickdeals to find the best deals at Costco this Black Friday (as well as other retailers).
Are you in the market for a TV? Got it. Tech? There’s a bunch of options. The one I’ve got my eye on is the whole home MESH wifi system. With SO many people working from home having good, solid wifi is crucial (and let’s not forget Netflix 😉 )
If you’ve read through my stuff here on the blog you’ll remember that I’m actually not a huge fan of Black Friday and I ESPECIALLY hate shopping on Thanksgiving itself. It sounds like this year there will be fewer stores that are open on Thanksgiving itself which makes me really happy. I won’t be doing any physical shopping but I’ve got NO problem at all sitting on my laptop (with my sweatpants on) and doing some shopping. Luckily it looks like the deals at Costco are all available online!
