Funny how we have been canceled from even having debates. We need to lead others and get back to civil communication in the world. See below scenarios.
Healthy Debate
- Man 1: here’s my thought, point of view, fact, opinion, etc.
- Man 2: huh, interesting. Didn’t look at it that way. Have you considered this with your points?
- Man 1: I see your point. I’ll take that into consideration. I’m listening.
Unhealthy Debate
- Man 1: I am right. My view is the only view.
- Man 2: I am right, you are wrong.
- Man 1: I am unfriending you. Canceled.
- Man 2: You are an anti-mask, killer, racist, white gun owner.
Social media has killed our civil way of communicating. A bunch of keyboard warriors. How do we get back to scenario 1 above without the mob canceling everything?
