Summer is upon us and it’s time for another entry to Beer Shots! I don’t know about you, but as the weather gets warmer I tend to drink different types of beers. Winter is for darker stouts and summer is for IPA, wheat beers and shandy! This particular photo is from a couple of years ago and marked my first Summer Shandy of the year. I don’t drink them all summer as they tend to … Continue reading
I snapped this Beer Shots entry a few years back when Wife and I went to Hocking Hills, Ohio for a get away weekend. We had a little cabin in the middle of the woods complete with a hot tub overlooking a ravine. It was super relaxing… especially since I had a cooler stocked with beer and wine. I catch a lot of flack from my beer drinking friends but I’ll tell you what… I … Continue reading
Today’s entry for Beer Shots puts me in a summer sort of mood. Way back in 2012, we spent an afternoon up on Put-In-Bay. It was brutally hot so finding some shade at The Boardwalk for lunch was a treat. Ya know what else was a treat? An ice cold Summer Shandy! If we’re to believe yesterday’s Cleveland.com article, Spring is on the way. And even though Winter hasn’t been all that bad, this guy … Continue reading
I got this flight of craft beer at Granite City Food & Brewery at Legacy Village back in February. They’re very different beers, but I’ve got to say my two favorites would be the Broad Axe Stout and The Duke (a copper pale ale). Have you ever visited Granite City? Got a favorite variety of their beer?

Depending on the size of your project, you may be considering hiring a local landscaping contractor to help you out. I had the same idea a few years back when I hired Tony Chasar of T-Trim Landscaping in Macedonia, Ohio. Unfortunately, Tony and T-Trim … Continue reading
As Spring is beginning to show up here in Northeast Ohio, you may be thinking about doing some painting projects around the house. You may also be considering hiring a local painter to help you out. I had the same idea awhile back when I hired Brian Shamblin of Brian’s Painting in Twinsburg, Ohio. Sadly, my project didn’t get done to my satisfaction and it’s turned into quite the ordeal. I’m putting this post together … Continue reading
I was reviewing my Beer Shots earlier today and I realized that I’d made a grave mistake by inadvertently omitting the greatest bar in the world. The Annex Bar & Grille is the best “home town bar” you’ll ever run across and it’s my #1 choice when I’m headed out. In addition to probably the greatest decor ever, you want a great burger? Good lord… this is the place to be.
