2018 – The Best of 406Northlane

I’ve been doing these “Look Back” posts since back in 2010. A down year for my activity here with only 27 posts (!). Terrible. Just terrible. This is already my fourth of this year and I’m making an effort to get back into it because I really miss it. It’s always interesting (to me at least) to see what posts make the list and to see if there are posts that prevail through the years.

Best of 2018

The Top 10 Posts of 2018
(Based on Number of Views)

#10 – WWE Network Now Charging Taxes
I got my monthly statement for the WWE Network just now and it came to $10.66. In doing some digging on the WWE Network site I see they're now charging taxes.

#9 – Got Snow? Snow Removal Scam
For years now I’ve been on a personal crusade to make sure a certain snow plow scammer is put on blast. This is the 2010 version of the story and it won’t be the last time you see it on this list.

#8 – The Debacle That Is TNA’s Aces & Eights Angle
Back in 2013, professional wrestling company TNA had a year long angle that dealt with a gang who referred to themselves as Aces & Eights. It was awful.

#7 – Running Out of Gas In a Traffic Jam
Up three spots from #10 last year, a post that details just what it sounds like. Let me tell you… there’s nothing scarier than sitting in traffic and looking down to realize you’re on empty.

#6 – Why America Isn’t The Greatest Country In The World
Dropping two spots from #4 last year. I’ve never seen The Newsroom on HBO, but this speech from the show’s first episode is absolutely epic.

#5 – My Commercial Series Char-Broil Grill With Rusty Innards
Holding strong at #5 for the THIRD year in a row. I love grilling. Here’s the story of a grill that had seen its better days.

#4 – The Missing Elf on the Shelf
Do you have an Elf on the Shelf that comes to visit your kids around the holidays? We do. This entry, up from #6 last year is what happened when we lost him.

#3 – Dolph Ziggler – Kent State University Alumni Profile
If you’re a WWE fan you’ll know the name Dolph Ziggler. What you may not know is that guy (real name Nic Nemeth) went to my wife’s alma mater Kent State University. Holding strong at #3 for the second year in a row.

#2 – Official WrestleMania 34 Drinking Game
Pip and I get together every year to watch WrestleMania and resurrect our battle with the fearsome Beeramid. Every year we create a drinking game to accompany that evening’s festivities.

#1 – Death In Box – McDonald’s Dinner Box
For the second year in a row the top view getter. Ever wonder the nutritional value of McDonald’s Family Meal? I did the research… get ready to be appalled.

As always, I’ve got lots to say and a lot on my mind so I’m really looking forward to a busy 2019 here on the blog. Stay tuned and thanks for reading!
