Since back in 2010 I’ve been doing these retrospective entries. Before we get too far into the year I wanted make sure I knocked this one out. As I said in my previous post I’ve been a terrible blogger recently and my yearly output of only 24 posts shows just how true that statement is. This is down from 79 posts in 2016 and 80 in 2016. I still plan on backdating a few movie reviews and PPV recaps which may bring that number up a little but it’s still a pretty pathetic output. With that self loathing out of the way let’s get to looking back at the best of 2017.
The Top 10 Posts of 2017 (based on number of views)
#10 – WWE Network Now Charging Taxes
For years (and even still) WWE pimped their Network as being only $9.99 per month. While this still may be true, they’re now charging taxes.
#9 – Running Out of Gas In a Traffic Jam
A post that details just what it sounds like. Let me tell you… there’s nothing scarier than sitting in traffic and looking down to realize you’re on empty.
#8 – The Official WrestleMania 32 Drinking Game
The 2016 (WrestleMania 32) version of our yearly WrestleMania drinking game.
#7 – Got Snow? Snow Removal Scam In Solon, Macedonia, Twinsburg
For years now I’ve been on a personal crusade to make sure a certain snow plow scammer is put on blast. This is the 2013 version of the story and I make sure to create a new post every year: Got Snow Services – 2017 Snow Removal Scam
#6 – Dolph Ziggler – Kent State University Alumni Profile
If you’re a WWE fan you’ll know the name Dolph Ziggler. What you may not know is that guy (real name Nic Nemeth) went to my wife’s alma mater Kent State University. This is down from #3 last year.
#5 – Why America Isn’t The Greatest Country In The World
Dropping one spot from #4 last year. I’ve never seen The Newsroom on HBO, but this speech from the show’s first episode is absolutely epic. It’s especially poignant in today’s political landscape.
#4 – The Missing Elf on the Shelf
Up two spots from #6 last year. Do you have an Elf on the Shelf that comes to visit your kids around the holidays? We do. This entry is what happened when we lost him.
#3 – My Commercial Series Char-Broil Grill
Up two spots from #5 last year. I love grilling. Here’s the story of a grill that had seen its better days. As these grills continue to age it doesn’t shock me to see this one have legs.
#2 – The Official WrestleMania 33 Drinking Game
Pip and I get together every year to watch WrestleMania and resurrect our battle with the fearsome Beeramid. Every year we create a drinking game to accompany that evening’s festivities. We’re slowing down but continue to give it the old college try.
#1 – Death In Box – McDonald’s Dinner Box
Holding onto the top spot for the second year in a row it was once again far and away the top post of the year. Ever wonder the nutritional value of McDonald’s Family Meal? I did the research… get ready to be appalled.
As always, I’ve got lots to say and a lot on my mind so I’m really looking forward to a busier 2018 here on the site. Happy New Year!
I like this idea of making a post about past posts! Get some of your newer readers an incite of what they’ve missed.
Thank you! I’m an analytics geek so I love looking back at this sort of thing. FYI, your URL looks like it’s wrong. I changed it but if it’s connected to your Gravatar you may want to update it 😉 http://gonestalking.com/
Geek away baby!!
Ugh. Thanks. I clearly have no idea what I’m doing. I’ll look into it and see if I can’t make it worse, haha.
The link on your Gravatar page http://en.gravatar.com/jokerscuckoo goes to https://gonestalking.wordpress.com/ (which isn’t your blog). That’s where you need to make the switch (at Gravatar) 🙂
Thanks. I made some changes to my theme yesterday and pretty much jacked it up. I clicked on that link, I don’t even know what that is or how to get rid of it. It randomly appeared when I signed up for the reader. Ugh.
